EACH GARMENT HAS ITS STORY
LITTLE EFFORTS TO HELP OUR MOTHER EARTH BREATHING BETTER
KUMIHO is created by VY, Vietnamese textile - fashion designer.
She wants to contribute her up-cycling methods, hand weaving technique as a present of creation, artisan and optimistic solution to the future of fashion.
KUMIHO, the name literally comes from an ancient Korean folk animal, a genderless fox with 9 tails symbolizing of logevity & reborn. It possesses the ability to become human and is also an image of both protection and destruction, of angel and evil. Through its image, we see the concept of fashion, we want to convey the idea that fashion is beauty from waste; but it can be reborn into flawless and desirable.
